Let’s do it Fellow Human Beings. I need the last decade of Trump lawlessness and hostility like a hole in the head. You want to go against your fellow man in a free country then do it without us and our labor and our money. You want a coup? Me too. From you from Day One. Did you not hear Trump call us “American carnage” and say “look at my African-American” like he was Trump property? That was a long time ago. And the only thing that has changed is that now that unwell unfit psychopath has turned an army on us in the streets when there is no war. Or maybe there will be war which no one wants ever.
The biggest obstacle to a break up is the nuclear weapons. Who is going to control it? Will the economic might on the coast allow the weak Midwest control of these weapons? Furthermore, the military are based in the South. It's basically a military occupation from the Civil War Era. It's not going to be a peaceful break up given the more billergerent Southern states. We see it in the numbers of separatists in the South.
Easier option: let states have more power within their own damn state and stop trying to use the Fed to force your “wrong-thinking” neighbor states to do as you want. That goes for everyone.
The economic might of the Coast will create grievances. The Southern states get more money through taxes than they pay from these states. Without these money, they will become Haiti. The lack of public investments in infrastructures and human capital will crippled these states. It's easier said than done.

I’d definitely like to see the blue states leave and form a true democracy.
