i don't understand why materialists don't understand ontological scarcity, esp during an overshoot crisis.

if we fixed capitalist social relations tmw we'd still be in overshoot. the dengist gambit is overshooting too.

Scarcity isn’t ontological—it’s engineered. Capitalist overproduction wastes 40% of US food while millions starve. China feeds 20% of humanity on 9% of arable land through socialist planning. Overshoot stems from profit logic, not human need. The so-called ‘Dengist gambit’ proves sustainability requires system change.
